Former audit partner at PwC and current trustee and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee for the Royal Institution of Great Britain, Potter brings over three decades of experience in auditing and digital transformation to Inflo.
Houghton-le-Spring, UK — Inflo, a global leader in digital auditing, welcomes Chris Potter as a Strategic Advisor. Potter recently retired as an audit Partner from PwC where he spent his last nine years transforming the way PwC delivers its audits using digital technology and offshoring.
Potter’s experience in audit risk and quality of financial services, cyber security, audit of internal controls and IT systems, non-executive governance and more will bring great value to Inflo.
“We are delighted to have Chris joining our team, bringing vast, recent and relevant experience to support Inflo’s continued global growth”, said Mark Edmondson, CEO of Inflo. “Chris has driven comprehensive digital transformation projects and been at the driving seat of audit innovation for many years. His keenness to now share that experience matches Inflo’s mission to transform the accounting profession by making advanced technologies and in-depth knowledge accessible to all.”
Potter’s extensive work on technology risks and cyber security included co-authoring the UK government’s Information Security Breaches Survey. His wealth of knowledge in this field has also led him to host lectures covering audit and internal controls at the Royal Holloway, University of London. His data security and privacy expertise will directly benefit Inflo’s enterprise customers. In 2012, Potter was awarded the IT Faculty Prize by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) for his significant contributions in educating the profession on the importance of information security.
“This new opportunity feels like a natural step for me,” said Potter. “I’ve always been excited about using technology to transform the way that audits are done, so they’re fit for the challenges of the 21st century. I’ve been impressed by Inflo’s vision for the industry, and I’m delighted to have this opportunity to help Inflo refine and evolve its offerings, particularly to meet the needs of larger and more complex audits.”
